Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas popularly known by the name Ashanti was born on 13 October the 13th of October, 1980 at Glen Cove New York United States. She's a performer and an actress of the United States. Ashanti began her career in the teen years, she was signed by Murder Inc. Records by 2002. The same year, she was featured in the Fat Joe's What's Luv? And Fat Joe's What's Lulv? The first female artist to hold first and second spots within the Billboard Hot 100 list in the United States with Foolish at number one and the track What's Luv? in second position.
