Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson is an American actress, who made headlines by playing Buffy Summers in the cult Buffy the vampire Slayer Becky Granger in the telefilm Nightingales as well as the very short-lived NBC show with the same nameErica Paget in the CBS drama Early Editionand Marlowe Viccellio in Psych. A native of California Swanson had a passion for acting since she was young. She began working in the advertising world, appearing in a variety of commercials. She first appeared on the screen in 1984 in an NBCs It's Your Move show. In 1986 she debuted in a romantic comedy called Pretty in Pink. Swan is known for her gorgeous blonde voice, breathless hairlisp, and her breathless voice. In recent years, she's started playing secondary characters. Flowers in the Attic won her the Young Artist Award in the category of the best Young Actress in Horror or Mystery Motion Picture in 1989.
